The bottom falls out of yet another right-wing talking point

CBS poll results via Atrios:

Only 29% feel that that the results of the war outweigh its costs
63% feel that the results of the war are not worth the cost.

Only 41% feel that removing Saddam Hussein was worth the cost
53% feel that removing Saddam Hussein was worth the cost.

So there you have it. The next time Sean Hannity or another right-wing blowhard asks "Would you rather have Saddam in power", here's your response:

"Sean, I stand with the majority of the American people and believe that removing Saddam Hussein hasn't been worth the cost."

And while I'm at it, the next time Sean asks one of his guests "Are you saying Bush is a liar?", the correct response is:

Sure, Sean. He lied when he told us himself that the government hadn't considered the possibility that Al Qaeda would fly planes into large buildings. He told us that he never worried about Osama bin Ladin, then he lied about it. He lied about taking every possible measure to provide port security. He lied about Social Security being bankrupt by 2042 under the current plan. And he lied about seeing the first plane crash into the World Trade Center. And that's not even including all of the times he dodged the press and made Scottie lie FOR him.
