Pope John Paul II (1920-2005)

I'm not Catholic, but I've always been amazed at the power of the Pope as a force for peace in the world. Pope John Paul II was an amazing man who managed to help Poland cast off Communism and always worked for peace and an end to poverty. May he rest in peace, and may the next Pope be as remarkable a man as the last.
