Gannon/Guckert FOIA lurches forward

Washington, DC - In a letter released today, the Department of Homeland Security indicated that they would begin compiling documentation on Jeff Gannon in an effort to comply with a Freedom of Information Act request made six weeks ago by Rep. Louise M. Slaughter, Ranking Member of the House Rules Committee and Rep. John Conyers, Ranking Member of the Judiciary Committee.

Rep. Slaughter (my congresswoman when I lived in Rochester) also included the letter from Homeland Security, which indicates that they sat on the request for a full month. But with this administration, that's the best we can hope for.
