As if there weren't enough reasons to stop flying American Airlines

The bastards gave money to Tom DeLay, specifically $5,000 to his legal defense. Sure. It's obvious. The family that he paid half a million dollars to run his campaigns has been seen standing next to offramps in Sugarland, TX holding "Will work for legal aid" signs.

I fly for work. A lot. About 150 flights a year, and up until this year, I flew about 60 times per year on their airline. I went ballistic a few months ago after they managed to lose a gate-checked bag and refused to help me complain directly to a supervisor about a particularly awful employee, and I haven't flown them since.

While I'm slamming them, I'd be remiss if I didn't point out another good reason not to fly American, namely American Eagle. They lose or delay (there's that word again...) about 1 bag in 100, among the worst in the industry.

And while I'm on the topic...$1000 to John Cornyn? WTF? (If anyone was wondering, it looks like United, which I greatly prefer, throws about 58% of its contributions towards Democrats, so I feel even better now.)
