Suspect Tasered at Hospice

PINELLAS PARK, FL -- Protests outside Terri Schiavo's hospice turned violent Tuesday when police were forced to use a taser gun to take down an activist trying to break in.

Investigators say the man attempted to force his way into the front doors. Several officers worked together to stop and arrest him.

The suspect was taken away wearing a bulletproof vest. It is not clear if he had put it on himself or if the police had put it on him for safety after the arrest.

Fox News reports that he grabbed two bottles of water and jumped a fence in an effort to drown hydrate Terri Schiavo.
