Need a new magnet
I need a magnet exactly the size and shape of the "We support our troops and President Bush ones." I want mine to say "We support our troops and their right to quality VA healthcare unlike my Republican Senator" so I can stick it on top of the ones I see on SUVs throughout the Midwest.
I want this because every Republican except two (Norm Coleman and Lincoln Chafee) voted against an amendment to increase VA health care by $2.8 billion. As you might guess, every Democrat and Jim Jeffords voted for the increase. You would think it would be important, especially considering that we've had over 10,000 injured and requiring medical care. In the national scheme, we're talking about roughly $10 per American, which is a pittance considering all that our soldiers are asked to do.
