What would you ask John Negroponte?

I've been watching a lot of the 24 hour news networks, and I've seen no fewer than three extended interviews with John Negroponte, ambassador/regent/governor of Iraq. Twenty minutes with the guy, and every interview is a total puff piece.

"What kind of turnout do you expect?"
"Are the Sunnis being intimidated against voting?"
"Do you expect insurgents to attempt to disrupt the election?"

Are you kidding me? This guy is now our main man in Iraq. Before that, he was heavily involved (though not indicted) in the Iran-Contra scandal, including construction of the base inside of Honduras used by the Contras. At best, he looked the other way toward death squad activity in Honduras. At worst, he may have actually sponsored it.

Couldn't someone have asked a few other questions?

"Have Iraqi's accepted you knowing that you sold arms to their mortal enemy while they were at war with Iraq?"
"You've been accused of allowing death squads to operate unimpeded in Honduras. Are you taking any steps to keep this from happening in Iraq?"
