Shameless Plug (Chicago specific)

Just went out to lunch in Lincoln Square at Spoon. There's a small, independent cheese shop across the street with some really great artisinal cheeses. It's called The Cheese Stands Alone, and it's at 4547 N. Western. (Cool name, too.) Knowledgeable owner (didn't catch his name) who keeps a great selection. Anyway, I figured I'd pass it alone because we're too close to Wisconsin to not partake of the excellent Dairy.

And I don't know what kind of cheese Vacherin Fribourgeous is or how it's made, but it's amazing stuff.

Right wingers, cue the French jokes now.
