Chalabi. Tanned, rested and...Oh Fuck!

From the Judith Miller interview with Chris Matthews. (via Atrios):

"We now are told, according to my sources, that the administration has been reaching out to Mr. Chalabi, to offer him expressions of cooperation and support and according to one report he was even offered a chance to be an interior minister in the new government."

So the guy who completely misinformed us on Iraq and provided most of the intelligence used as justification for the invasion is back in our good graces? Didn't we pay him over $27 million for that information? When he was caught lying about this, wasn't his response just to shrug it off and say "the end justifies the means?" Didn't we just have a bunch of Iraqi soldiers (and U.S. contractors) raid his villa? Didn't he spy on us for Iran? Doesn't Jordan still want him for embezzling at least $72 million from the Jabra bank?

Please tell me that Richard Perle is going to jump out from behind a curtain and tell all of us that we've been Punk'd.
