Military to order another 100 Humvee armor kits

Well this proves it. The only way to get anything done by the Pentagon is to shame Rumsfeld into it.

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The U.S. Army is renegotiating with a Florida company to increase production of uparmored Humvees from 450 a month up to 550 a month, a Senior Pentagon official said Friday.

Who knows how many lives and serious injuries were saved by the soldier asking the question (Spc. Thomas Wilson) and the reporter who worked with him on said questions (Edward Lee Pitts.) Both are heroes in my book. I doubt that Rumsfeld will ever do another meet and greet like this again, but this was probably the single best way to effect change.

Now lets get another production line up at Armor Holdings so it won't take a year and a half to get every Hummer armored.
